Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how japanesenamer.info (the "Site") uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies, and how advertising and analytics partners may do the same. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

When we say "cookies," we also mean related technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, and scripts that store or read information on your device.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can remember a choice you made, keep a feature working, measure traffic, or help show ads. Some cookies are set by us (first-party). Others are set by third parties whose services appear on the Site, such as advertising networks.

3. How We Ask for Consent

On your first visit we show a cookie banner. You can Accept All or Decline. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key "cookie-consent" so we do not ask again on every page.

  • Accept All — we may load optional Google Analytics (when a measurement ID is configured) and advertising features that rely on your consent.
  • Decline — we do not load Google Analytics. The Site still works. Some advertising partners may still set their own cookies as described below.
  • Closing the banner with the X control hides it for that session only. We do not treat that as accept or decline, so the banner can appear again on a later visit until you choose.

You can clear site data in your browser at any time. That deletes the stored choice and the banner will appear again.

4. Cookies and Storage We Use

Necessary (site operation)

These are needed for basic operation and consent. They do not require marketing consent.

  • Cookie consent preference — local storage key "cookie-consent" stores "accepted" or "declined" so we remember your choice.
  • Hosting and security — our hosting provider may process request data (for example IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in server logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

Preferences and features

These remember settings or progress on your device. They are not used to advertise to you.

  • Welcome message — session storage records that you dismissed the welcome box for the current browser session.
  • Install prompt — session storage records that you dismissed the optional app-install prompt for that session.
  • Mini-games — Flappy Name Ninja may save a high score in local storage on your device.
  • Manga reader — if that feature is enabled, it may store interface and chapter-language choices in local storage.
  • Ad slot dismiss — if you close an in-page sponsored unit, we store that preference in local storage so the same unit stays hidden on later visits.

Analytics (only after Accept All)

If you accept cookies and a Google Analytics measurement ID is configured, we load Google Analytics to understand which pages are used. IP anonymization is enabled, and Google advertising signals and ad personalization signals are turned off in our Analytics configuration. We do not load Analytics if you decline or have not yet chosen.

Advertising

The Site displays ads from advertising partners, including Google AdSense and Adsterra. Those partners may set their own cookies and collect device or usage data to serve, limit, and measure ads, and (where their own policies allow) to personalize ads.

Some advertising scripts may load as part of operating the Site (for example AdSense site verification and Adsterra units). Partners may set cookies even if you decline optional analytics. You can still block or delete those cookies in your browser, and you can use the advertising opt-out tools in section 6.

Embedded content

Video pages use privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube typically does not set cookies on your device until you play a video. After you play, Google / YouTube may set cookies under their own policies.

5. Third-Party Cookies

We do not control cookies set by third parties. Their use is governed by their own policies:

Other tools you use on the Site (for example AI providers when you submit a prompt or image) process that request under our Privacy Policy. They are not primarily cookie vendors on your browser.

6. How to Control Cookies

You can manage cookies in these ways:

Do Not Track signals are not consistently implemented across browsers. We treat the on-site consent choice as the control for optional Analytics.

7. Retention

Consent and preference values stay on your device until you clear them or they expire under your browser rules. Game scores and reader language choices stay until you clear site data. Third-party cookie lifetimes are set by those partners.

8. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after updates means you accept the revised policy.
